First stone

Diving into MILDISS, the future four-star hotel, which will open in the summer of 2019 in Besse (Puy-de-Dôme)

This Friday, October 26, took place the symbolic ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the four-star hotel, located in the village of Serre-Bas, Besse. However, the site has already begun for several months and should be completed for the next summer season.

In the Massif du Sancy, only Mont-Dore had until now a four-star hotel. An exception that will soon be corrected since within a year, the south of the massif will also have its establishment of standing. MILDISS, a name that echoes the altitude of the hotel, will open in July 2019 in the village of Serre-Bas in Besse.

The building started last July is already well advanced but the developers have just symbolically laid the foundation stone. Its name, "MILDISS", evokes the altitude at which the 4-star hotel is located. It will open in the summer of 2019 and will cover an area of 2,000 m2 in a meadow near the village of Serre-Bas, municipality of Besse-et-Sainte-Anastasie (Puy-de-Dome).

A luxury hotel with clean forms

The establishment will have 32 rooms and all facilities corresponding to its category: meeting rooms, a wellness area of 200 m2 and sports halls, not forgetting a Bistronomique restaurant with 70 seats.
Designed by architect Issoirien Jean-Jacques Eragne from Atelier 4, the hotel, with its sleek elliptical shape and its materials in wood and raw concrete, is intended to integrate into the landscape

Project leaders passionate about the Sancy

The three promoters of the project Sébastien Bertrank, Xavier Verdy, two former ASM players and Pierre Verdier, seminar organizer, are aiming at both business tourism and the usual tourist clientele.
"The creation of this hotel is above all a way for us to invest even more in this area we have loved for 30 years" says Sebastien Bertrank.

Overall cost of the investment: just over 5 million euros, including more than 1 million grants (Europe, County Council, Regional Council Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes). The rest is financed by twenty shareholders and bank loans.
